AU Background: Miles Edgeworth was motherless soon after birth and orphaned by ten. He was born in London to a family of wealth but ill-repute. Their reputation, however was not important; Edgeworth's father spent his life fighting the inherent injustices of society, so its perpetrators deemed him unseemly and murdered him for it. Edgeworth blamed himself for both deaths. In an act of inhuman generosity, the head of one of the most prominent legal families in Europe and the main opponent of Edgeworth's father, Manfred Von Karma, took Edgeworth in. He taught Edgeworth the legal profession and his role in the world as Von Karma saw it, as well as all the skills any young gentleman should know. This manic strive for perfection and absolute application of justice stressed by Von Karma was Edgeworth's life up until six months ago, when he had it rudely pointed out to him that he was everything his father had fought against. He dropped everything then and left his home, his job and his old ways behind. He has come to Albergo Chiaro to start over.
